In first grade we learn about different lines. So, I was given the idea from another colleague about making thin and thick lines to create plaid.
One fun way to show plaid was to create cute mittens with blowing, snowy wind.
They turned out great!!

Love this! I did a Kindergarten lesson making symmetry mittens, the plaid looks great! And I love the swirly snow : )

cute! Did you give them fat and skinny brushes and watercolors? Did they 1st graders cut or trace the mittens?
