So once again I was nominated to represent our district and state at the National Education Association Assembly! Today is the first day of voting and introducing new business. As of yet, nothing has come along the path on art education. I will keep you posted if there is anything that is of great concern for our field.

Congrats to you. As my local president for 10 years and an exec for many more in my local union, I attended my NY statewide rep assembly many times but never the national (which would have been AFT, not NEA). It was always an amazing experience. Anyhow, with the attacks on unionism in your state it has never been more important to take a proactive stance and have your voice be heard. Enjoy every minute of your time at the assembly. Kudos to you for your participation!

Are you home yet? Was it as inspiring as it was last year?
